The Milky Way lift pass covers you for all the resorts on the Italian side of the border. This includes Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, SanSicario, Cesana and Claviere. If you purchase a 6 day pass then you will automatically receive 2 free days across the border in Montgenevre.

For beginners who feel that they will not get value for money from a full pass then a reduced pass is available that will give you access to the lifts in the beginners area. The cost for this per day is €37 in the low season and €40 in the high season.

You can purchase a half day pass for €39 low season and €43 high season. This will allow you to use all the lifts from 1pm onwards.

The seasonal pass goes on sale on the 19th October and during the promotional period, which ends 11th November the cost is €900. After the promotional period ends the cost increases to €1250.

Ticket offices are located in the centre of town at either end of the row of shops that faces the slopes and also at the bottom of the Fraiteve gondola. The main ski pass office is located in Piazza Agnelli.

Yes, but this covers you only for the extraction from the mountain in the event of an accident. It will not cover you for loss of your pass or any other medical cover. Without this additional cover you will be asked to pay the piste patrol in the event that they are called out to you, even if you have your own travel insurance. The cost for the insurance is €3.50 per day. You must add this prior to activating your pass. Please be aware that it is a legal requirement to have third party liability insurance to ski in the Vialattea. Ensure that your holiday insurance includes this.
